Souvenirs and gifts from Carel Fabritius

You probably did not expect the goldfinch as a souvenir item in our collection. However, after our visit to the Mauritshuis we were so enthusiastic that we decided that it deserves a place in our store.

Carel Fabritius was a Dutch painter from the seventeenth century.
Carel Fabritius is generally regarded as Rembrandt's most talented student, for whom Vincent van Gogh, among others, expressed his admiration.

Fabritius painted history paintings, portraits, still lifes and cityscapes, but most famously the Goldfinch.
